Astro Space Week
Os departamentos de Matemática e Ciências vão dedicar a semana de 5 a 9 de Dezembro ao Espaço. Vamos começar por realizar uma sessão de Observação da International Space Station (ISS) na segunda-feira, dia 5 de Dezembro.
A ISS é o maior satélite artifical em órbita terrestre, habitado permanentemente por uma tripulação de 6 astronautas e pode ser visto facilmente a olho nú, se soubermos para onde olhar e quando olhar. É uma atividade especial para Pais, Alunos e Professores, e todos os que se quiserem juntar a nós para assistir a este momento único. Este evento está dependente das condições atmosféricas. Se o tempo o permitir, poderemos ver Júpiter, Saturno e Marte também.
Durante toda a semana, vamos ter uma exposição na biblioteca com imagens Astronómicas, música e videos. Também ao longo da semana iremos lançar foguetões com os alunos de 2º ciclo, fazer uma tour pela exposição com o pré-escolar e ter palestras sobre a ISS e "Carl Sagan and the Pale Blue Dot", abertas à comunidade. No final da semana, vamos levar os alunos de Secundário ao Planetário de Lisboa (9º - 12º ano).
The Maths and Science Departments will host a special week. From December 5th to 9th, we will be focusing on Space. We'll start with an Observation Session of the ISS, International Space Station, Monday, December 5th.
The ISS is the biggest artificial satellite in terrestrial orbit, with six astronauts on board. We can easily see it with the naked eye if we know where and when to look. It will be a special activity for students, teachers and parents, as well as all who wish to join us for this special occasion. This event depends on atmospheric conditions. If the weather allows it, we will be able to see Jupiter, Saturn and Mars as well.
Thoughout the week, we will have an Astronomical photo exhibition, music and videos in the Library. We will have a rocket launch with 2nd cycle students and take the pre-school to the photo exhibit. We will have talks about the ISS and "Carl Sagan and the Pale Blue Dot", open to our community. On Friday we will take our secondary students (9th - 12th grade) to Planetário de Lisboa.
